When Faith Meets Doubt

We read this account and we should walk away and we should say Halleluiah there is hope.  Because if John has doubts, if there are times when John questions, I praise God for that example because I'm not John.  Unfortunately too often in the Lord's body we don't talk about those doubts and we don't talk about those seasons of indecisiveness.  Instead we put forward this bullet proof facade of faith.  We act like that never happens.  You question why is it we do that?  I suggest it's absolutism.  It is just going so far in defining something in such black and white terms that there's no way to harmonize things that disagree with it.
